Issue Portal

Besides your ops console, IssuesByScott provides an issue portal that other apps embed so their own users can report problems.

What end-users get

Inside a consuming app, a signed-in end-user can:

  • Submit an issue (a bug report, a request, a question).
  • See their own submission history — only their issues, not everyone's.
  • Comment and track status as their issue progresses.

How it connects

The portal is delivered through the IssuesByScott client library (a gem + React component) and talks to IssuesByScott using the tool's API key. Issues submitted through the portal land in the same backlog you triage in the issues view — so customer reports and your own tickets live together.

This is what lets a small operator offer real in-app support without running a separate help desk.
